The $10 new student testing fee is due at registration; the $35 registration fee is due upon notification of acceptance.

(Parent Commitment, Fundraising,  Parish Membership or the multi-family rate does not apply to the K1 program)

 (All payment plans begin in July and must be paid in full by April 1st)

2.             Parent Commitment:

Each family is required to contribute a certain amount of hours each month  in service to our school.  You may do this by being a parish bingo worker, cafe monitor, or development member.  Each commitment has its own set of responsibilities and time requirements.  Failure to meet your obligation  involves a  monthly pro-rated penalty fee which is based on the fine rate of $750  (The exact penalty depends on your choice of service, the number of times you  are to report, divided into the $750 penalty rate)  Make up provisions are made due to illness or unforeseen circumstances.

Instead of participating in the above Parent Commitment program, a family may choose to make an additional payment of $500 which will be added to your regular school charges.

3.                 Fundraising Obligation:

Each family is also required to participate in our major fundraising drives.  The goal is for each family to NET THE SCHOOL A PROFIT OF $170.  A percent of gross sales for each campaign will be credited toward the $170 obligation. (More information will be provided when the events occur). Instead of participating in the Fundraising Program, a family may choose to make a one time payment of $170 in addition to their regular school charges.

4.             Parish Registration/Membership:

All families (both current and new) who wish the in-parish rate must be an active member of Most Holy Redeemer, Sacred Heart,  or Our Lady of the Assumption.  These three parishes support our school with an annual subsidy.  To be considered a member of one of these parishes you must attend church weekly and use the envelope system.  If you are not an active member of one of the above parishes then the “out of parish” surcharge of  $300 will be applied to your regular school charges.  If you live outside of East Boston and attend Mass regular at another parish you may ask your pastor to consider paying the surcharge of $300.  Each parish in the Archdiocese is ask to contribute to Catholic Education  either by giving to a central educational fund or directly making a donation to a specific school.

Students in Grade 2 at EBCCS are properly trained for first penance and Holy Communion through our religion program.  However, the reception of the sacraments can only be done through a parish.   Parents have the obligation to keep in touch with their pastor with  regards     to  practice schedules and  the  dates and times for the actual reception of the sacraments. This information is readily available in weekly bulletins which may be picked up at mass. 

Out of parish families must contact their local church to make arrangements for their child to receive the sacraments.  Remember the reception of the sacraments is not just a one day celebration - it must be a life long commitment.

OTHER  REQUIREMENTS:

A. Documents and Age Requirements

         1. Medical and immunization records are required for all new students.

         2.  Kindergarten 1--proof of age (birth certificate) 

            Recommended age for K1 students  is  4 on or before September 1, 2007.

      3. Kindergarten 2 and Grade 1--proof of age (birth certificate). 

            Recommended age for K2 is 5  and Grade 1 is 6 on or  before September 1, 2007.  

In addition to age requirements, children applying in Grades K2 through Grade 8 must meet age appropriate requirements on our entrance examination.

B. Formal School Uniform

Gr.1 through Gr. 8

The Uniform Code will continue to remain the same for both boys and girls. As in the past, the rules for wearing the school uniform will be consistently and fairly enforced. The uniform company,  Collegiate House, will contact the school and a date (probably in early May) will be designated for measuring the child at school for the upcoming year. A regulation uniform sweater or vest with school emblem for boys and girls is also required.  (The sweater or vest must be dark navy provided by our uniform company.)

  K1 and K2 Uniform          

K1 and K2 will have a uniform consisting of the official EBCCS Polo shirt, navy sweater, and elastic waist regulation navy pants and shorts which may be purchased directly from our school. 

Gym Uniform (Applies to Grades K1 through Grade 8)            

All students are required to have the official EBCCS Gym Uniform which can be purchased directly at our school.   More information concerning uniforms will be sent to you upon request.
